This camp offers basic instruction on stage presence, acting techniques, drama lessons, voice projection, improvisations, costume design, and stage management, all leading to a final staged production at the end of the session. Instructor Debra McNair is an accomplished playwright with over 30 years of experience. She is the founder of New Beginnings Theater which also toured in Long Island, New York at colleges and churches with a Stage Play that she wrote, produced and directed entitled “Arise People of God Arise”. Debra McNair also completed a project CD entitled:”Arise Women of God Arise” that was released in 2007. Recently opening NBT Performing Arts Training Center located in the City of Port Huron, Michigan, to train and cultivate new talent. Instructor Kimberly Jackson has given years of service and her talent to the community in various ways. From working with many Youth Programs such as S.O.N.S Outreach, and S.C.C.O.R.E Organization, and her Church Zion Cathedral of Praise. Kim has Also been very Active in local Community Theater such as Civic Theater, New Beginnings Theater, where she has trained and instructed youth and adults in the performing Arts, through dance and song.

Campers will explore how drones work, how pilots steer them, and how they’re used in the real world—from delivering packages to exploring space! With plenty of flight time, students will test their skills on obstacle courses, complete fun drone challenges, and even learn the sport Drone Soccer! Participants of this camp will be learning the beginning phase of theater understanding and all the roles it takes to have a great production. Instruction includes acting out characters or settings, improvisation activities, how to analyze through sound, sight, and emotion, theatrical dance and movement, and silly prop making. d in 2007. Get your hands dirty and your creativity flowing with SC4 at Summer Clay Camp, a two-day ceramics experience designed for curious creators entering grades 5–8! Led by artist and SC4 professor Jacob Vinson, this hands-on camp introduces students to the dynamic world of ceramics—where art, science, and imagination collide. Campers will explore a variety of ceramic techniques, from hand-building textured mugs and painting tiles to getting their hands on the potter’s wheel. Along the way, they’ll learn about kilns, glazing, and the fascinating transformation clay undergoes in the firing process. With plenty of studio time and a fun mix of demonstration, discussion, and making, each camper will come away with unique creations and a solid foundation in the ceramic arts. No experience necessary.

Learn the tips, tricks, tools and techniques to take the mystery out of drawing. This camp introduces learners to the fundamentals of drawing, including skills used by accomplished artists. Emphasis is placed on understanding how to see the way artists see. We will have a discussion on right brain/left brain characteristics and how to promote right brain connection. Learners will do exercises in upside down drawing, shading, basic unit, and sighting. Previous drawing experience is not required. Campers will be taught the fundamentals of applying watercolor paint, mixing color, and how to create a range of values (light and dark). The learners will work on a guided landscape painting and then will work on their own painting with guidance from instructors. Previous experience in watercolor painting is not required.
